Trump and Putin meet – level 2

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin had a big meeting in Anchorage, Alaska. People expected big news about Ukraine, but after almost three hours, Trump only said they made progress, but there was no deal.
He gave no answers to the questions and walked away. This made the media confused.
For Putin, meeting Trump itself was already a win. Since 2022, he didn’t meet world leaders, but now he sat with the US president. The US also showed its power with a bomber flying above during the summit.
Later, Trump said he wouldn’t punish Russia directly. Instead, he wanted to put pressure on countries like India and China that buy Russian oil. Finally, Trump advised President Zelensky to make a deal, making clear he thinks Russia is the stronger side.
Difficult words: progress (moving closer to a goal), confused (not able to understand or think clearly), bomber (a big military plane with bombs).
