Typhoon Mangkhut – level 1

26-09-2018 07:00

Mangkhut is a very powerful typhoon. It causes landslides in two villages in the Philippines. Thirty-three people die. Twenty-nine people are missing.

The typhoon moves to China. It brings strong winds. City streets are under water. Around 500,000 people must evacuate.

Then the typhoon moves west. It becomes weaker.

Difficult words: typhoon (a big tropical storm), be missing (when you are missing, people do not know where you are and if you are OK), evacuate (move away because of danger).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
