US Service Members Die in Syria – level 3

On Wednesday, US service members died in an explosion in Syria during a routine patrol. It is unclear how many people died in total, but a Syrian news company said that at least ten people died, including civilians.

ISIS took responsibility for the attack. Only two US service members had died in Syria until now. The attack happened less than a month after President Trump’s announcement that he would remove troops from Syria, which started to happen last week.
