Gaza famine – level 1
27-08-2025 07:00
The United Nations says that there is famine in Gaza. Famine means that people do not have enough food. Many families are hungry.
The situation is serious. Some people are sick. Some children die because they cannot eat. The UN says that more than 500,000 people have a problem with food.
Israel says this is not true. It says that there is no famine. But many helpers and UN groups say that food does not get to Gaza as it should. They say that people need more help, and they need it faster.
The UN leader says that people are responsible for this situation. It is very bad news for the world. Help comes too late.
Difficult words: famine (no food for many people), hungry (when you want food), true (real).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What reasons do many helpers and UN groups give for calling for more and faster assistance in Gaza?
