Afghan refugees need help – level 3

24-11-2023 15:00

Approaching winter brings declining temperatures, posing a significant concern for Afghan refugees expelled by Pakistan.

People are lacking immediate shelter as they face harsh winter conditions, especially women and children living under open tents. The absence of safe spaces creates serious risks, necessitating psychosocial, nutrition, and primary health care support for those who have lost everything in Pakistan, including their assets, homes, belongings, and other properties.

Standing together with these individuals is crucial for a fresh start, requiring support from international communities and involved parties.

Difficult words: expel (to force someone to leave a place), necessitate (to make something necessary), psychosocial (relating to the psychological and social aspects of a person’s life).

You can watch the video news lower on this page.

What measures can international communities take to provide necessary support for Afghan refugees expelled by Pakistan during the winter?
