Arnold Schwarzenegger talks to Russian people – level 2

23-03-2022 07:00

74-year-old actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a video on social media to tell Russian soldiers and people the truth about the war in Ukraine.

The video was nine minutes long, and it had Russian subtitles. Schwarzenegger wanted to get through Russian propaganda, and he said true facts about the war. He said that Russian people didn’t know the truth, and thousands of Russian soldiers had already died in the war.

He also said that it wasn’t true that Ukrainian people were Nazis and that the Ukrainian president was actually Jewish.

Schwarzenegger said that Russian people were his friends, and he asked the Russian president Vladimir Putin to stop the war which he started.

Difficult words: propaganda (when a government or political leader spreads information which is not true to change people’s opinions), Nazi (a person with extreme ideas and hates some people because of where they come from, and he supports the ideas of Adolf Hitler), Jewish (a person or nation who historically came from Israel).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
