Bed bugs – level 1
21-07-2025 07:00
Bed bugs are small bugs. They bite people at night. They drink blood. Only a few types bite humans. They are hard to see and like to hide in beds and clothes.
They find people by heat and smell. Their bite does not hurt, but it can make the skin red and itchy. They live in groups in walls or furniture. Bed bugs can live a long time without food. People often carry them in bags or clothes.
A long time ago, people burn beds or use plants to stop them. A strong bug spray called DDT works, but it is not allowed nowadays. Now, hot air and cleaning are the best way to kill them.
Difficult words: bite (to cut the skin with teeth or sharp mouth parts), hide (to go to a place where no one can see or find you), itchy (when your skin does not feel good and you want to scratch it).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What methods are currently most effective for killing bed bugs now that DDT is no longer allowed?
