Buses without drivers – level 1

19-04-2024 07:00

Seoul is the capital of South Korea. People are using special buses there. These buses do not need a driver. They are autonomous. They drive at night.

A ride on this bus is smooth and safe. The driver is there. But he is not driving. He helps if something goes wrong. Some people believe that these buses can solve problems with transportation.

But there are still problems. The technology is not perfect yet. South Korea spends a lot of money on this transport. It costs very much money and it is not ready for every place yet.

Difficult words: autonomous (when a machine or vehicle works without people), smooth (working without troubles), transportation (moving things or people from one place to another).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What are some of the challenges and limitations faced by autonomous buses in South Korea, and what steps are being taken to improve this technology?
