King of Comics – level 3

19-11-2018 07:00

Stan Lee, an American comic book writer, editor, and publisher, active from the 1940s to the 2010s, has passed away at the age of 95.

He was Marvel Comics’ primary creative leader for two decades, and he led a small division of a publishing house to a multimedia corporation that dominates the comics industry.

In collaboration with other writers and artists, he co-created many popular characters, including superheroes like Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man.

Difficult words: pass away (die), division (a part of an organisation/company), publishing house (a company which publishes books or comic books), in collaboration (working together).
