Louvre’s Pyramid – level 1

30-11-2023 15:00

The Louvre is a famous museum in Paris. Its entrance is a glass pyramid. A French artist hides the pyramid. He puts an image on it. The image is black and white. It is an image of the building behind the pyramid.

This artist changes buildings and neighbourhoods all around the world. In 2009, he covers a slum in Nairobi. He covers it with pictures of women. These women live in the slum.

Difficult words: entrance (a way in), hide (to make something go away), neighbourhood (a city area), slum (a city area where very poor people live).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What impact did the French artist's work have on the inhabitants of the slum in Nairobi?
