Netflix in Saudi Arabia – level 1

21-01-2019 07:00

Netflix is an online service. You can watch TV series, shows and films on your tablet or computer. ‘Patriot Act’ is one of the shows that you can watch.

The show is about serious things. However, the host talks about these things in a funny way. In one episode, he talks about Saudi Arabia. He talks about the Saudi leader, Prince Salman.

The host criticises Prince Salman. He says that Prince Salman is not making the country better.

The Saudi government does not like the episode. It tells Netflix to take it down. Netflix takes it down. You cannot watch the episode in Saudi Arabia.

Difficult words: host (the person who leads and talks in a TV show), episode (one ‘film’ or ‘story’ of a TV show), government (the ‘bosses’ of a country).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
