People like survival horror games – level 2

04-09-2025 07:00

Survival horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill are still strong, even with famous action games around.

At Gamescom, fans said they like these games because they give fear, atmosphere, and strong stories. Developers said they need to add new ideas but keep the spirit of horror alive.

Silent Hill F moves the game into 1960s Japan. It brings a new culture and focuses more on the mind than on action. The story comes from writer Ryukishi07, who is known for dark stories.

Resident Evil Requiem celebrates 30 years of the series. It shows Raccoon City again, has better graphics, two ways to play (first-person and third-person), and a normal woman named Grace as the hero. The creators want horror to stay the main point.

Difficult words: spirit (the main idea or feeling of something), graphics (the pictures, images, or visuals in a game or on screen), hero (the main good character in a story).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What new setting and storytelling focus does Silent Hill F introduce to the series?
