People like survival horror games – level 3

Despite the popularity of action titles like Fortnite or GTA, survival horror continues to attract loyal fans.

At Gamescom in Germany, players explained that these games offer not only fear but also atmosphere, responsibility, and emotional stories. Developers agreed that horror must constantly evolve to keep audiences interested.

Silent Hill F takes the series to 1960s Japan, adding cultural strangeness and focusing on psychological terror. Written by the Japanese author Ryukishi07, it emphasizes mystery and inner fear rather than fast action. This design avoids turning the game into a typical combat challenge, instead highlighting tension and emotional impact.

Resident Evil Requiem marks the 30th anniversary of the franchise. It returns to Raccoon City, offering improved graphics, two camera modes, and a vulnerable main character named Grace. Developers stressed that their goal is to create horror-first experiences, not action-first ones, showing that survival horror still has a strong identity.

Difficult words: evolve (to change slowly into something better), emphasize (to give importance to something), franchise (a series of games, movies, or books that belong to the same world or story).
