In New Zealand, scientists find many new animals deep in the sea. It happens in an area which they do not find interesting. But now, they see it as a good place to explore.

Scientists find about 100 new animals. They do not know some of them at all. There is also a strange animal called a ‘sea-pig’. These are big sea cucumbers and sea cucumbers with legs. Scientists want to find these animals before they disappear forever. But they do not expect to find so many new species. They also saw known animals in unexpected places. The area is now seen as a good place for scientists to explore more.

Difficult words: explore (to travel through a new area and learn about it), disappear (to not exist anymore), species (a type of living thing).
