Thai king stops the parliament – level 2

Thailand’s prime minister got the king’s permission to end parliament and make way for national elections in 45 to 60 days.
The parliament ended before the opposition could do anything. The main opposition said the prime minister didn’t follow an earlier deal.
The countdown to the elections started. People thought the first possible date was the 30th or the 8th. The prime minister tried to stay in office for less than three months. During that time, there were floods in southern Thailand that killed over 60 people, and many people said the help was too slow.
The border fights continue, and other countries are watching. The next weeks will be very important for the country.
