US politician Marco Rubio introduced a plan to ban TikTok.President Trump’s government previously tried to ban the Chinese social media app, but the attempt wasn’t successful.
According to a government organization, China could possibly use TikTok to control its users and their phones, which could be dangerous for the United States. Some US states already banned TikTok on government phones and computers. TikTok said that the ban’s reasons were political, and the ban would not make the country safer.
Another legislation plans to limit Chinese technologies and companies access to US banks.
