12-08-2025 07:00
Tom Fitzpatrick is 101 years old. He works as a radio navigator on a B-17 bomber in Italy in World War II. He thinks he is the last person in his unit.
A student named Tyler Boland finds Stanley Eisenberg. Stanley is also 101 years old. He works with the ground crew in the same unit. They live only 15 minutes from each other. They do not meet for 81 years. Tyler helps them meet. They talk about their time in the war.
Tom and Stanley feel happy. They say it is important for young people to know what happens in the war.
Difficult words: navigator (a person who plans the way for a ship or plane), crew (a group of people who work together), unit (a group which works together).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
How many years passed before Tom and Stanley finally met again?
