You can print your body - level 2
A supermarket in England offers customers to be scanned and turned into 3D figurines.
The scanning takes between 2-3 minutes. It is done by a small handheld machine which takes around 15 pictures per second. It scans the colour as well as the body shape. It picks up the smallest details, too. For example, it picks up rings or shoe details.
After the scan, the images are processed by a computer and sent to a printer which uses special coloured fluid. It takes around 8 hours to print one figure.
This is a new product which is still being tested. People will keep selling it if it becomes popular enough.
