Machu Picchu in Peru and the Rio Plátano Biosphere Reserve in Honduras are famous UNESCO sites under danger.

In Peru, millions of tourists visit Machu Picchu every year. Too many visitors walk on the ancient stone paths, which causes damage and erosion. Heavy rain, changing weather, and trash also create big problems. Local authorities now limit daily visitors to protect the area. In Honduras, large parts of the rainforest are being destroyed by illegal cattle farming, tree cutting, and drug crime. This dangerous activity harms wild animals and threatens local communities. Indigenous leaders try to protect their forest homes, but armed groups hurt them.

Experts say that governments, local people, and international organizations must work together to save these special cultural and natural places for the future.
