Gingerbread NYC – level 1
19-11-2025 07:00
The Museum of the City of New York has a fun event. It is “Gingerbread NYC.” Many bakers from the five parts of the city join it.
Bakers make buildings and places in New York with gingerbread. People can see the Statue of Liberty, a ferry, a tram, and a subway station. There is also a street from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. One baker makes a big bagel with cream cheese. Another baker makes a Broadway stage with characters from famous shows.
The event is open until January 19. People can come, look around, and vote for the gingerbread they like.
Difficult words: join (to take part in an event), gingerbread (a sweet baked treat with ginger, often used for houses or cookies), bagel (a round bread with a hole in the middle).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
Which iconic New York structure made of gingerbread can visitors see alongside a ferry, a tram, and a subway station?
