Russian drones near Romanian borders – level 1

Romania quickly sends its NATO fighter jets into the air. A radar sees Russian drones near the border with Ukraine.
The drones are flying close to the Ukrainian port city of Izmail. Two German jets and two Romanian jets fly over the area to keep it safe. The important thing is that the Russian drones do not enter Romania’s airspace. But, officials hear loud explosions just across the border in Ukraine, where the drones are. The drones soon fly away.
Romanian officials say that these problems near the border are happening more and more often. This makes the country worry. The war might spread into Romania. The government warns people. Some of them move away from their homes.
Difficult words: enter (to come or go into a place or area), explosion (a very noisy and damaging burst of energy), spread (to cover a larger area), warn (to tell someone that something bad may happen).
