Saudi Arabia may get a nuclear weapon

The Saudi crown prince said that if Iran makes a nuclear weapon, Saudi Arabia will want one too.

This raised concerns about a deal between the US and Saudi Arabia. Some US Senate Democrats are worried about it because they don’t trust Saudi Arabia. The US is trying to make Saudi Arabia and Israel friendly, but it is not easy. There are problems with the Palestinians, and making Congress agree is tough. Also, Saudi Arabia’s human rights record is bad.

The biggest problem is about nuclear cooperation. The US government might change the rules to help Saudi Arabia, but many people in Congress won’t like this. They don’t want Saudi Arabia to have nuclear weapons.
