The North Pole Marathon

People running in the North Pole Marathon are training, even on a ship. The boat is moving, so it is hard to run without hitting things. One runner said it helps them get used to the cold weather before the race.

The North Pole Marathon is very cold and hard. Runners will be on snow and ice. One person even joked that maybe a polar bear could appear during the race!

Even though it is not easy, the runners are excited. They hope for a fine and long course to run on. They want to be ready for the cold and finish the race strong.

Difficult words: to get used to something (to become familiar with something), appear (to come into sight), course (the way to follow).
