The North Pole Marathon – level 3

18-07-2025 07:00

Runners preparing for the North Pole Marathon are training hard, even while on a moving ship. Although the boat constantly shifts, participants continue to do laps on deck.

One runner said the biggest challenge is staying balanced and avoiding obstacles as the ship rocks. Still, they are using this time to adjust to the freezing temperatures before the big race.

The North Pole Marathon is known for its extreme conditions. Runners will face snow, ice, and freezing winds. One participant joked that they might even see a polar bear during the race, adding to the adventure.

The athletes are excited and hopeful for a long, safe course to run. Despite the cold, their spirits are high, and they are determined to finish.

Difficult words: obstacle (a thing in the way), spirit (a way of thinking, feeling, or behaving), determined (having decided to do something and not letting anyone stop you).
