Young Kangaroos in Trouble – level 1

15-10-2018 15:00

It is dry in Australia. Due to the dry weather, there are more orphaned joeys. One organisation is helping 378 joeys now. Two years ago, it was only 270.

It is not cheap to take care of a joey. The organisation needs help. It needs more money. It needs around $40,000.

Difficult words: orphaned (alone, without parents or another animal or person to help), joey (a young kangaroo), was (the past of ‘is’).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
