A Danish company cuts many jobs

Kalundborg is a town in Denmark. Many people there work for a big company, Novo Nordisk. The company makes a lot of money with a drug called Wegovy. Wegovy helps people lose weight.

But now the drug sells less, and the company wants to cut many jobs. About 5,000 people will lose their jobs in Denmark. People in the town feel worried about work and houses.

Novo still gives a lot of money to Denmark. The economy is strong, but people do not know what will happen next. Some think it will be hard for Kalundborg. Others think it will help because other companies can find more workers.

Difficult words: weight (how heavy something is), cut (to make something less or smaller), economy (all the money, jobs, and businesses in a country).
