A man hides in a Christmas scene – level 2

A 38-year-old man in Italy wanted to stay away from prison for attacking a police officer. He tried to hide in a town’s Christmas nativity scene by acting like a statue. It happened in the town of Galatone, which has about 15,400 people.
The mayor saw him and first thought he was part of the scene. Then he realised it was a real person. The mayor called another worker to ask him to leave, but the man said the scene was his home. Local police arrived and saw that he was a wanted man. He had a prison sentence of nine months and 15 days.
The mayor thanked the police and said it was important to trust people who keep the town safe.
