New Year’s goals – level 1
02-01-2026 15:00
Many people make New Year’s goals. But most people stop after a short time. An expert says why this happens. She says that people need to change how they think, not only what they do.
When people believe in themselves, goals feel easier.
She says goals must be small and simple. People can ask for help from a coach or expert. Mistakes happen, but people can try again. One bad day does not stop you from getting better.
Palmer says that people must be kind to themselves. Positive thoughts help you feel strong and calm. Health, happiness, and focus on today help people reach goals step by step.
Difficult words: goal (what you want to do or reach in the future), simple (not difficult), mistake (something what you do wrong).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
How do positive thoughts, self‐kindness, and focusing on small, simple goals help people keep making progress despite setbacks?
