Meteor in Iowa - level 2

Meteor in Iowa - level 2

09-01-2014 06:00

Hundreds of Americans noticed a fireball on the 26th of December. It flew over the border of Iowa and Minnesota. The moment was captured by a security camera.

There were over 700 witnesses. Some reported an object as bright as the sun which fragmented into many parts. Others could actually hear the meteor.

Although many people think it was a meteor, there is no official confirmation. Feel free to imagine that Santa Claus was flying home after a busy day.

Difficult words: meteor (a rock from space), witness (person who sees something), fragment (break into a lot of small parts), confirmation (document which says that something is true).
