People saw a big white whale – level 2, A12

An albino whale has been seen near the coast of Australia.

The unusual albino whale is named Migaloo. It is an Aboriginal name for “White Man”. It is on its annual migration from north Queensland to the Antarctic.

It’s reported, Migaloo was first seen in Australia waters back in 1991 and it’s part of the east Australian whale population which numbers up to 17 000.
