Snake attacks a boy in Australia – level 2, A12
An Australian teenager was bitten by one of the world's most dangerous snakes. It has venom so powerful that just one drop can kill 100 men but the boy has survived.
He took himself to a local hospital just north of Sydney. He brought the snake with him in a plastic box.
This type of snake usually lives in central Australia's dry deserts, hundreds of miles from the coast.
It is not yet known why the snake was so far from its natural area.
You can watch the video in the Level 3 section.
Interesting words: venom (poison), not yet (not until now).
