A dog has a friend in Japan

20/03/2011 22:21

After the last week’s earthquakes and tsunami the search for survivors continues in Japan. The devastation is not only for people but animals too. People try to save the dogs who survived the disaster.

A partially wet and muddied dog, which is confused and cold, runs to a cameraman leading him to an injured dog friend, lying among the waste which was left after the earthquake and tsunami that hit on 11 March 2011.

The dog refused to leave his friend. After one hour the rescuers finally calmed him down so that he could leave the place of his friend. The injured one is now in the veterinary clinic in the city of Mito. His protective friend is receiving care at a shelter in the same town.
